Getting Started with NDIS Support
Starting with a new support provider can feel like a big step. We make the process as clear, personal and comfortable as possible.
You can enquire for yourself or on behalf of someone you support. We also welcome enquiries from families, nominees, support coordinators, plan managers and allied health professionals, with the participant’s knowledge and consent.
From Enquiry to Your First Experience

Send an enquiry
Tell us a little about the participant, their interests, goals, location and the type of support they’re looking for.
02
Have an initial conversation
We’ll get in touch to answer questions, discuss availability and explore whether Ocean & Trail Escapes may be a suitable fit.
03
Get to know you
We’ll talk about interests, goals, communication preferences, accessibility and individual support needs.
04
Plan the support
Together, we’ll discuss practical details such as mobility, health and safety considerations, transport and preferred activities.
05
Provide your information
Before support begins, we'll confirm the required participant details, consent, funding arrangements and signed service agreement.
06
Enjoy your first experience
With everything in place, it’s time to get started. Whether it’s a one-to-one support or group outing, we’ll make sure you know what to expect so you can feel comfortable and ready for the experience ahead.
Information we may need from you
Before support begins, we may ask for a few details to help us understand the participant’s needs, preferences and circumstances. This helps us plan support that is appropriate, well organised and tailored to the individual.
Participant, nominee and emergency contact details
NDIS number and plan management information, where applicable
Goals, interests and preferred activities
Communication, accessibility, health and support information
Transport and pickup arrangements
Consent forms and a signed service agreement

Finding the right fit
We want every support to be safe, enjoyable and appropriate. For group outings, we consider the nature of the activity, mobility requirements, group dynamics, staffing and each participant’s individual support needs.
Some outings require active participation or involve uneven ground, while others offer different levels of accessibility. We’ll explain what to expect before attendance is confirmed and discuss suitable alternatives where possible.
Understanding NDIS funding and activity costs
Before support begins, we’ll talk with you about the support you need, the goals you want to work towards and how the proposed service may connect with your NDIS plan.
We’ll provide clear service and cost information so you, your nominee, support coordinator or plan manager can confirm funding arrangements.
NDIS funding generally covers the disability-related support needed to participate. Everyday costs such as entry fees, meals, tickets or personal purchases may need to be paid separately by the participant. We’ll explain any known costs before attendance is confirmed.
Privately funded participants are also welcome.
